State President Tran Dai Quang expressed his delight at the sound relations between Vietnam and the federal, regional and community governments in Belgium at a reception for the Federal Wallonie-Bruxelles Minister-President Rudy Demotte in Hanoi on Tuesday.
He praised Wallonie-Bruxelles for providing non-refundable aid for co-operation projects in Vietnam for tertiary education, vocational training, health research, and environmental protection, contributing to local poverty reduction, workforce quality improvement and socio-economic development.
Rudy Demotte said since its delegation's establishment in Vietnam, his organisation has implemented projects supporting local socio-economic development which has greatly benefited local health care and medical waste treatment. He also reiterated the region's willingness to augment co-operation with Vietnam via high technology and heritage preservation.
Rudy Demotte is on an official visit to Vietnam to mark the 20th anniversary of the Wallonie-Bruxelles delegation to Vietnam.
