On April 2, the Youth Union of Vietnam Television and four other youth organizations were officially transferred from the Government Youth Union to become directly affiliated with the Youth Union of the Central Party Agencies. The announcement was made at an expanded Executive Committee conference of the Central Party Agencies’ Youth Union, attended by leaders of relevant units and representatives of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
The Youth Union of Vietnam Television, together with the Youth Unions of the Voice of Vietnam, the Vietnam News Agency, the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, and the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, are now affiliated units under the Youth Union of Central Party Agencies. Following the transfer, the Youth Union of Party Central Agencies comprises 18 affiliated grassroots organizations.
The transition of the Vietnam Television Youth Union to this new structure marks a significant new phase for the young workforce in the television sector. Vietnam Television Youth Union is a dynamic and enthusiastic group that plays a pioneering role in journalism and communications, key fields that help fulfill the political missions of the Party and the State.
During the conference, leadership representatives stressed the importance of stabilizing organizational structures and consolidating operations for the newly integrated units. They highlighted the importance of these units quickly aligning with the working framework of the Party Central Agencies’ Youth Union. Expanding scale and membership, along with integrating new units, is crucial to maximizing the potential of young professionals and their contributions to initiatives.
The Secretary of the Party Central Agencies’ Youth Union reaffirmed their commitment to supporting and guiding newly affiliated organizations, ensuring effective operations tailored to each sector’s characteristics, while fostering stronger connections between the VTV Youth Union and other grassroots unions.
At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Dam, Secretary of the VTV Youth Union, expressed sincere gratitude to the Government Youth Union and its affiliated units for their leadership, guidance, and support over the past period. As they enter this new phase, VTV’s youth reaffirm their unity, confidence, and determination to uphold their traditions, intellect, and youthful spirit. They are committed to continuing to contribute to Vietnam Television's development. At the same time, they aim to actively bring their identity and enthusiasm to the Youth Union system as a whole under the leadership of the Party Central Agencies’ Youth Union.
Accepting VTV Youth Union into the Party Central Agencies’ Youth Union coincides with the active participation of youth nationwide in activities celebrating Youth Month. This further solidifies the role and contribution of young union members in the development of the media sector and youth movements nationwide.
