VTV won the A Prize at the Press Awards for the Fight against Corruption and Wastefulness

VTV.vn - At the awarding ceremony, VTV received an A Prize for the documentary Mr. Luc High-speed.

The ceremony to present the Press Awards for the Fight against Corruption and Wastefulness in 2018 -2019 took place in Hanoi on August 15. Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Politbureau member and Standing member of the Party Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong and many leaders of the Party and State attended the event.

At the ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Standing member of the Party Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong awarded four A prizes for outstanding works. In particular, VTV was awarded an A prize for the documentary Mr. Luc High-speed ​​by journalists Truong Vu Quynh, Ho Phuong Dong, Doan Hung Anh of VTV Center in Da Nang (VTV8).

The documentary Mr. Luc High-speed is highly appreciated for portraying typical characters in the fight against corruption and wastefulness. The film tells about Mr. Luc's long and difficult journey of collecting documents and evidence to persistently struggling with mistakes and wrongdoings during the construction of the Da Nang - Quang Ngai highway.

In addition, Vietnam Television also received a consolation prize for the work Vietnam Fatherland Front in the Fight against Corruption by journalists Dong Hoai, The Quang and Duc Thuan.

This year, the Organizing Board received more than 1,000 valid works of four genres: printed press, electronic press, radio and television from over 100 central and local press agencies. The Finalist Council has selected 35 outstanding works for awarding: 4 A prizes, 9 B prizes, 10 C prizes and 12 consolation prizes. The entries are considered of good professional quality, accurate information, honesty, clearly showing journalists’ responsibility and commitment.
