On 20th April, the 2015 Golden Kite Award ceremony was held at Hanoi Friendship Palace with the attendance of numerous well-known artists.
In TV drama series category, most of important titles were given to Vietnam Television Film Center (VFC) – Vietnam Television for its productions, namely “Forever young”, “When the birds return”, “Song of the Sun” and “Sunshower”.
In particular, “Forever Young” Filming crew was honored with three awards including The Best TV drama series, The Best Actress (Nhã Phương) and The Best Supporting Actress (Kim Tuyến). Additionally, the holistic TV series of “When the birds return” also won Silver Kite Award and its director – Nguyen Danh Dung was presented The Best Director Award.
Actors Viet Anh and Quang Tuan were named Best Actor in TV Series for their roles in When the Birds return and Song of the Sun respectively.
Director-Actor Trong Trinh was also named The Best Supporting Actor for his role in “Sunshower”
These TV series and films were all broadcasted on VTV’s prime time, that drawing special attention of viewers, creating indelible impression on Vietnamese TV drama series.
