VTV.vn - Let's Go Home airs at the VTV Special time slot in October. The film deals with a woman who was tricked into selling abroad.

The documentary Let's Go Home is a wake-up call for those who want to make money and change their lives. In addition, the film also conveys the message of sharing, sympathy, as well as community responsibility for the victims of human trafficking.

In 2018, after reaching out to Georges Blanchard, Executive Director of the Alliance against Trafficking in Persons (AAT), the documentary production crew of Vietnam Television decided to pursue the topic of human trafficking and trafficking broker.

"Each one on this earth has to be responsible to others. No one can lead a selfish life. If each one of us could help each other a little bit, this life will be better," said Georges Blanchard.

"From another country and speaking another language, people come to Vietnam, decided to stay and does a job selflessly. In addition, this job is very dangerous and difficult. This makes me very feel thankful to them", director Le Thanh Binh said in all admiration to the pursuit of Mr. Georges Blanchard.

For nearly two years, Georges Blanchard and his colleagues have uncovered and helped repatriate nearly 5,000 victims. The film crew contacted many of these victims, but only three accepted to share the unhappy stories of their lives.

""Among the many characters I meet, even if they won't be on the film later, I can not avoid feeling pity for them as their families consider the return of girls and relatives a very difficult thing to accept. Many even think it is a fact, even a disgrace that should be hidden", director Le Thanh Binh said. said director Le Thanh Binh.

It is a difficult topic, affecting the current life of the character, so the film crew has to be very careful in pre-production and post-production stages.

Over the course of 3 years, the crew has been filming in Guangdong, Guangxi of China and many provinces of Vietnam such as Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, An Giang, Binh Phuoc...

Through authentic stories, VTV Special - Let's Go Home want to convey a humane message.

"We want to convey a very strong message to young people that when deciding to leave their homeland following wrong advice of an agent with the desire to earn a lot of money or be a wife of someone, they should really think twice", director Quang Bach - Documentary Film and Report Center, Vietnam Television.

In addition to alerting many young women, the film also wishes to receive sharing and sympathy from those people who are close to the victims - their fathers, mothers, brothers, relatives in the victims' families and from the community. In order for the unlucky women to return, they will need spiritual support to rebuild their lives.
