The documentary Land of Promise by director Ta Quynh Tu from the Documentary and Report Center, Vietnam Television was awarded the second prize in the category of Humane Documentary as the Asia Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) announced the World Television Award in New Delhi, India on May 16, 2018.
The world television award is held by AIBD every year to honor the excellent TV work of the member organizations of AIBD.
This year, the theme of the Humane Documentary category is "Migration or Immigration" and the theme of Scientific/Environmental Documentary category is "Clean Water for Life".
The first prize in the Humane Documentary category went to Hang Seok's Journey on Foot - Homeward, broadcast on KBS1 - Korea.
AIBD was established in 1977, under the aegis of UNESCO, to promote the development of the broadcasting sector.
