In celebration of the 54th anniversary of the first television broadcast by Vietnam Television (September 7, 1970 - September 7, 2024), the VTV Trade Union and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of VTV organized the VTV 2024 Mini Football Tournament.
The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Dinh Dac Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy General Director, and Chairman of the VTV Trade Union; Mr. Do Duc Hoang - Deputy General Director of VTV; Mr. Le Quyen - Chief of Staff at VTV; Mr. Phung Van Hiep - Secretary of the VTV Youth Union, along with representatives from the Standing Committee, members of the Executive Committee of the VTV Trade Union, the Executive Committee of the VTV Youth Union, and sponsors from Hoang Phong Sports Trading and Manufacturing Company (Wika Sport Vietnam), Natuza Vietnam JSC, and 1010 Thang Long Investment Co., Ltd.
In his opening speech, Mr. Dinh Dac Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy General Director, Chairman of the VTV Trade Union, and Head of the Organizing Committee, stated: "On the occasion of the 54th anniversary of VTV's first broadcast, the VTV Trade Union and Youth Union have coordinated to organize this Football and Tennis Tournament. On behalf of VTV’s leadership, I would like to thank all the units that have facilitated the participation in the VTV 2024 Mini Football Tournament and thank the referees for officiating the matches. I wish the players to compete in the spirit of 'fair play,' the referees to work with impartiality, and the tournament to be a great success".

The VTV 2024 Mini Football Tournament brings together 15 teams with over 200 players, including VTV staff, editors, reporters, cameramen, and technicians. These people contribute daily to creating high-quality content for VTV’s channels.
The tournament is an opportunity for athletes to socialize, build camaraderie, and express their passion for sports, particularly football. The VTV 2024 Mini Football Tournament will take place from August 22nd to August 29th at the football field of the Cultural, Information, and Sports Center of Tay Ho District, 101 Xuan La, Tay Ho, Hanoi.
