More than 69 million people are expected to vote at over 90,000 polling places. Voters will select 500 delegates from the 870 final candidates for seats in the 14th National Assembly, where they will serve from 2016 to 2021.

Over 5,000 voters in several mountainous districts in Bình Định and Kontum Province cast their ballots on Saturday, as well as 1,500 voters in the Bach Long Vy Island district of Haiphong city, and residents in Hon Khoai and Hon Chuoi islands in the southernmost province of Cà Mau.
