Volunteer doctors based in the highlands
VTV.vn - A young graduate from the Hanoi Medical University has decided to work hundreds of kilometres away from home in order to provide medical care for ethnic groups in the highlands.
Living 700 kilometres from home, loneliness and fatigue are unavoidable, and Hieu has wanted to give up many times. Nguyen Van Hieu is one of 20 young volunteer doctors that are working in 13 poor and remote districts across Vietnam. Using their knowledge and expertise, they have been helping residents in remote areas live healthier lives.
