On the occasion, VKBIA presented 2,500 masks, 504 bottles of hand sanitizer, 20 boxes of disinfectant sprays and deodorants, and some boxes of Vietnamese coffee, while KORCHAM presented other necessary items to the Vietnamese and Republic of Korea people under quarantine in the province.
Tran Hai Linh, member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and Chairman of VKBIA, and Hong Sun, Permanent Vice Chairman of KORCHAM, expressed their belief that the COVID-19 epidemic in the two countries will soon be stopped, and their businesses and peoples can continue their connection and cooperation for mutual development, thus promoting people-to-people cohesion between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea and further developing bilateral relations.

Through the visit, VKBIA and KORCHAM hope to continue researching and promoting investment projects in Quang Ninh’s areas of potential and strength for the near future, such as seaport development, aviation development, tourism and commercial services, hospital and health services, hi-tech parks, supporting industrial parks, and high-tech agriculture.
Earlier on the same day, the VKBIA and KORCHAM delegation had a working session with the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, during which the guests were briefed on the province’s outstanding socio-economic achievements as well as its COVID-19 prevention and control efforts in recent times.
Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thang affirmed that Quang Ninh advocates openness in providing full, accurate and updated epidemic-related information to the people and enterprises.
The VKBIA and KORCHAM delegation have a working session with the Quang Ninh provincial People's Committee.
The province is now taking drastic measures and allocating resources to control and mitigate the spread of COVID-19, Thang said, emphasising that Quang Ninh will offer optimal support and ensure the best infrastructure and living conditions for all Vietnamese and Korean citizens, and those from other countries, who are under quarantine in the province, as prescribed.
At the working session, representatives of VKBIA and KORCHAM expressed their gratitude to provincial leaders of Quang Ninh for the special attention given to the Republic of Korea citizens under isolation in the locality. They also spoke highly of the province’s efforts in COVID-19 prevention and control over recent times.
