China’s National People’s Congress Standing Committee’s Vice Chairwoman Shen Yao-yao joined other representatives from Chinese agencies, Vietnamese embassy staff, and Vietnamese in Beijing at the event.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnam Ambassador Nguyen Van Tho highlighted the remarkable achievements Vietnam has gained over the past 70 years. Regarding Sino-Vietnamese relations, Ambassador Tho said Vietnam and China are close neighbours maintaining a longstanding traditional friendship. Despite experiencing ups and downs, the two countries have the wisdom and ability to resolve disagreements through peaceful negotiations through mutual respect and adherence to international law, the ambassador said.
