The World Bank and S&P Global Market Intelligence just issued the container port performance index for 370 global ports, in which Vietnam's Cái Mép Port ranked 11th, surpassing major transshipment ports of Singapore, Malaysia, or Hong Kong (China).
This ranking is based on criteria such as the time it took for ships to finish loading and unloading containers at the port for the whole of 2021, fuel efficiency, as well as information technology and digitization factors.
The container port performance ranking is important, not only for importers and exporters, ship companies, and logistics enterprises, but also for policymakers and infrastructure investors.
