The scheme is intended to provide preferential treatment for ASEAN-owned airlines and will make the regional aviation industry more competitive. Vietnamese carriers have worked on several projects to prepare for the scheme.
Vietnam’s aviation industry achieved growth of about 20% last year. The ASEAN Open Skies scheme is considered as a great motivation for the sustainable development of Vietnam’s aviation industry in the future.
