The Vietnamese group won the gold medal, while France and Japan won the silver and bronze medals, respectively.
The gold medal was won by a group of five athletes, Nguyen Viet Anh, Vuong Hoai An, Nguyen Che Thanh, Le Hoang Phong and Tran Ngoc Thuy Vi.
Other Vietnamese athletes also tried their best, bagging two silvers and two bronze medals.
These achievements will boost the morale of the Vietnamese aerobic team as they prepare for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in Cambodia.
According Vice President of the Vietnam Gymnastics Federation Phan Thuy Linh, the World Cup was the last tournament of Vietnamese aerobics ahead of the 2023 SEA Games and provided a valuable opportunity for the team to enhance their skills.
She also added that all Southeast Asian countries participated in the tournament, which allowed Vietnamese coaches to gain a better understanding of their opponents and make appropriate adjustments for the SEA Games.
The Vietnamese aerobic team won three golds and two silver medals at the previous Games and have set the target to win 2-3 gold medals at this year’s event.
