Vietnam wins gold at international Biology Olympiad

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam attended the event and presented awards to the candidate with the most outstanding achievements.

The only gold medal of the Vietnam delegation went to Vu Thi Chinh, from the gifted school of Natural Science under Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Vietnamese-born Luu Hoang Ngan from the Hungarian delegation won the silver medal. Of the three candidates that received the highest marks, two candidates were from Singapore and one was from China.

After 16 years, Vietnam again won the gold medal at the International Biology Olympiad.
