VTV.vn - An 18-year-old German-Iranian gunman who apparently acted alone opened fire in a busy shopping mall in Munich on July 22, killing at least nine people.

Following the attack, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh on July 23 asked Vietnamese agencies in Germany to work with local authorities to confirm the safety of Vietnamese citizens following the attack.

He also asked representative agencies to offer all possible support to Vietnamese nationals who encounter difficulties.

According to the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany, there has been no information about injured Vietnamese in the attack so far. The Embassy has set up hotlines to provide information and support.
