VTV.vn - The first Vietnamese baby born in 2020 was a 3.3-kilogram baby girl who was brought into the world at 0:00 on January 1 at the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Hanoi.

Known by her initial, Trinh Nhat G, the second child of Trinh Sy D and Nguyen Thi H from Ha Nam province, had her umbilical cord cut by Associate Professor Tran Danh Cuong, who is the director of the hospital.

Welcoming the baby girl into the world, Associate Professor Cuong said it was a moment of pure bliss for the mother as well as the pride of the doctors who were fortunate enough to help deliver the baby.

After G, many more babies continued to be delivered healthily right into the early hours of 2020 at the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

In Ho Chi Minh City, ten expectant mothers delivered their babies successfully at Tu Du and Hung Vuong, two of the city’s largest obstetric hospitals, within the first 30 minutes of 2020.
