Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai, who co-chaired the meeting, said that he highly valued the trade and investment ties between Vietnam and Venezuela in recent years. Bilateral trade turnover hit 62.4 million US dollars in 2014, more than double 2013. The two countries have signed various agreements in key sectors such as energy, oil and gas, and agriculture.
The Venezuelan president said that he hoped both sides would push co-operation in other fields as well. He shared his expectations that the business communities of both countries would strengthen trade and investment activities, with support from the two governments.
