Vietnam values relations with Japan

President Tran Dai Quang received Special Advisor to the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarian Group Tsutomu Takebe on Thursday. He said Vietnam valued its relationship with Japan and praised an initiative to establish the Japan-Vietnam University in Vietnam. President Quang said the university would receive ample help to ensure it opened by this September and called for continued Japanese support for Vietnam in infrastructure development, agricultural production, and climate change mitigation efforts. He also said more cultural exchanges should be conducted to increase mutual understanding.
