This is the largest toursim expedition to date in the United States after more than 10 years of absence from this large market.
The event attracted the participation of 120 guests, including travel and tourism associations, tour operators, and airlines from the United States and Vietnam.
In the first eight months of this year, Vietnam welcomed nearly 486 thousand US visitors, up 14,5% against last year. But the figure is still modest compared with nearly 88 million Americans traveling abroad. The United States is the world's leading market for travel expenditures (US $1,476 per person per trip, excluding airfare) and a stay of 16.6 days per person per trip.
