Vietnam to compete in World Skills Competition

VTV.vn - The Ministry of Labor Invalids and Social Affairs hosted a ceremony to see-off the Vietnamese delegation competing at the 45th World Skills Competition, which will open on Friday in Kazan, Russia.

19 Vietnamese workers will compete in 18 occupations at the upcoming 10-day event. The competition will be a good chance for Vietnam to learn and exchange world-class vocational skills in order to improve Vietnamese workers' skills and increase national labor productivity and competitiveness.

This year's competition attracts nearly 14,000 contestants from 69 countries and territories.

Vietnam has participated in the WSC for six times. Its contestants brought home a bronze medal and eight medallions of excellence in 2015, and another bronze along with five medallions of excellence in 2017.
