VTV.vn - The Vietnam Social Security (VSS) on January 17 launched a programme to grant social insurance books and health insurance cards, along with gifts, to poor people nationwide, on the occasion of Tet.

The funding for the programme has been contributed by employees working in the social insurance sector.

Speaking at the programme's launch, General Director of VSS Nguyen The Manh said through the programme, the VSS hopes to spread the human and sharing spirit of social and health insurance policy in the community.

On the occasion, Manh presented 375 gifts to patients at 15 central hospitals in Hanoi.
