Vietnam seafood sales to EU surge

VTV.vn - Vietnam’s seafood sales to the EU rose in January, after a difficult period due to the yellow card incident.

According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (Vasep), Vietnam’s fish sales to the EU in the first month of 2018 increased by 24% compared to the same period last year. Tuna exports also increased sharply by 21%, after only rising by 1% in December 2017. Despite the recent growth, seafood sales to the EU are still forecasted to face many difficulties, due to the EU continuing to examine the catch certificates of Vietnamese seafood exports to the bloc.
