VTV.vn - Storm No. 4, which is internationally known as Podul, is approaching Vietnam's waters - so the North Central provinces have had heavy rains, strong winds, and whirlwinds.

In order to proactively respond to the developments of Storm Podul, many measures to prevent damage have been implemented locally. In Quang Binh province, where it's been raining very heavily, a damaged ship with 15 fishermen is drifting in a dangerous area.

In Nghe An province, the locals have tried to harvest the summer-autumn rice to reduce the damage caused by natural disasters even though only 70% of the rice was ready.

Chairman of Quang Tri People's Committee on Thursday came to inspect the south of the Thach Han spillway project, which is under construction. The leaders of the province instructed the construction units to immediately relocate the equipment from the dam and to ensure the safety of the local residents.
