Vietnam, Philippines strengthen ties

Former President Fidel Ramos, Defense Minister Ricardo Visaya, and other high ranking Philippine officials attended the event.

Vietnamese Ambassador to the Philippines Trương Triều Dương reiterated that the strategic partnership between the two countries since November 2015 has marked a new era for their relationship. Philippine Deputy Foreign Minister Linglingay Lacanlale said that the Philippines highly values the past 40 years of relations with Vietnam, and the strategic partnership contributes to realising the ASEAN Community Vision in 2025.
