Vietnam opposes Taiwan’s information about local businesses injecting Pectin into shrimp

VTV.vn - Recently, a Taiwanese media released information about Vietnamese businesses injecting Pectin into shrimp.

The National Agro-Forestry-Fisheries Quality Assurance Department (NAFIDAQ) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) sent documents requiring specific reports on this issue to the appropriate authorities, especially in the areas that specialize in shrimp production. The results show that, until now, there have been no detection of Pectin used in shrimp production as the Taiwanese media reported. NAFIDAQ also sent a document to Taipei's economic and cultural office in Hanoi to clarify this information.
