Vietnam now Laos’ 2nd biggest foreign investor

The Ministry has granted permission for 4 new projects and 2 capital adjustments worth 54 million USD. This accounts for one third of Vietnam’s newly registered capital for foreign investment for the past six months. Vietnamese companies invest in 259 projects with total investment value of 3.9 billion USD.  They have contributed to Laos’ state budget, created local jobs, reduced poverty, and participated in social programs.
