At the meeting, President Tran Binh Minh thanked Ambassador Sugi Ryotaro for his continuous support on VTV’s program production, promoting Vietnam – Japan relations, especially the recently conducted “Vietnam – Japan Culture Exchange” program. President Tran Binh Minh reaffirmed that with the Ambassador support, Vietnamese viewers have the opportunity to approach and to have better understanding on the culture and people of Japan, the land of rising sun.
According to Ambassador Sugi Ryotaro, “Vietnam – Japan Cultural Exchange” program was highly appreciated by the Japanese Government. Realizing the significance of this program, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan (MIC) and Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) have allocated additional fund for program production. Ambassador Sugi Ryotaro hopes that with VTV’s collaboration, these programs shall be further promoted on VTV’s channels in the coming time.
Being of the same mind, President Tran Binh Minh also hoped that apart from cultural aspect, the two sides would have further co-operation so as to incorporate information on Japan economic, scientific, management development in the program, providing Vietnamese audiences with better overview on the country and people of Japan.
President Tran Binh Minh and Ambassador Sugi Ryotare also discussed other important issues to strengthen the relationship and cooperation between VTV and Japanese broadcasters and organizations.
