Vietnam, India step up all-around cooperation

VTV.vn - State President Tran Dai Quang met with his Indian counterpart Ram Nath Kovind at the Presidential Palace in New Delhi on Saturday, as part of his three-day state visit to India.

Vietnam and India have enjoyed a time-honoured traditional relationship because of their historic and cultural similarities. President Quang asked both nations to increase education among their younger generations about the bilateral relationship that enables them to preserve and uphold the fine tradition. The two state leaders expressed their delight at the flourishing bilateral relations, especially in politics, defence and security, economy and trade, science and technology and culture and education. Both sides have consented to tap potential opportunities to cooperate in the areas of energy, infrastructure, information technology, green and hi-tech agriculture, as well as economic, cultural and people-to-people connectivity.

On Saturday evening, President Ram Nath Kovind hosted a banquet in honour of State President Tran Dai Quang and his delegation.
