Vietnam honors 70 people on patriotic work emulation anniversary

State President Tran Dai Quang, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan attended the event and congratulated the 70 excellent individuals on their contributions to the country and emphasized that such acts should be respected and honored. Some of the people who were honored included long-time government employees, officials from ethnic groups, and people who have made significant contributions to their local communities. Also at the event, 20 leading patriotic groups were awarded the government's emulation flag for their achievements in 2017.
