The Prime Minister also said that the upcoming signing of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) will be an important milestone to help lift their bilateral ties to new heights. He thanked the European Parliament, the European Commission, and the relevant agencies for facilitating the EVFTA negotiations. Bernd Lange said that his visit aims to reinforce the cooperation between Vietnam and the EU. He congratulated Vietnam on the economic achievements, citing its growth rate of over 7 percent in the first half of 2018.
