The annual survey gathered data from more than 18,000 overseas workers in 163 locations. From number 18 in last year's report, Vietnam now ranks 10th on the list.
According to HSBC, Vietnam is a promising destination for migrant workers as the country offers many job opportunities with high income, low living costs, rich cultural diversity, friendly people, nice weather and amazing natural landscapes.
For the first time in four years, Switzerland has surpassed Singapore to become the number one destination for expatriate workers.
