Vietnam contributes to stronger ASEAN-China cooperation

At the opening ceremony, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc said Vietnam would  further contribute to ASEAN-China cooperation.

He outlined four priorities. First, implementing the ASEAN-China Free Trade Area 3.0 and facilitating trade and investment. Second, promoting balanced trade and stronger business ties. Third, boosting digital connectivity and innovation. Fourth, improving transport and logistics links to strengthen regional supply chains.

During talks with Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc proposed greater market access for Vietnamese farm products, stronger railway and electricity links, smart border gates, and technology cooperation.

Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang pledged to increase imports of Vietnamese agricultural products and encourage Chinese investment in Vietnam.

Earlier, during a meeting with Chen Gang, Secretary of the Communist Party of China Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Standing Deputy Prime Minister proposed economic and infrastructure connectivity, science, technology and digital cooperation, and efforts to build a border of peace, cooperation, and development.
