VTV.vn - In recent years, Vietnam has stepped up its efforts in fighting corruption. From completing its legal framework to engaging in international collaboration, Vietnam has shown a commitment in striking down corrupt practices.

This is a meeting of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption. For the last decades, many big corruption cases have been discovered and tried; for example, the economic crackdown of Agribank.

At the provincial level, anti-corruption efforts have also increased in many forms, such as engaging local residents in monitoring public constructions, like the P55 project.

Besides P55, many similar projects have been launched. They all have the same philosophy of anti-money-laundering, anti-bribery, and enhancing information transparency, especially in terms of finance.

Vietnam is now working with other countries to share experiences in combating corruption. The country has also taken an active role in the United Nations Convention Against Corruption.

The recent Draft law on the revised penal code has also added stricter rules governing corruption. According to the law, corrpution will not only be disciplined at the State level, but in the private sectors as well.
