VTV.vn - A conference on promoting the trade of agricultural products between border provinces between Vietnam and China was jointly held by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Lang Son province on August 18.

The Chinese side highly valued the quality of Vietnamese farm produce and China spent US$3.7 billion on imports of Vietnamese agricultural products in the first half of this year.

The conference informed enterprises on regulations regarding traceability and quarantine procedures for fruit and vegetable exports to China and discussed the difficulties facing enterprises in import-export activities.

Vietnam and China have witnessed growing trade revenue over the past years with two-way trade revenue reaching US$93.7 billion in 2017, up 30.2% over 2016.

Delegates at the event said border gate management agencies should improve the process of goods clearance to facilitate the imports and exports of Vietnamese products, lowering the prices and costs of products.

The delegates also witnessed the signing of a number of agreements between enterprises of two countries to boost the consumption of agricultural products.
