The joint statement included several commitments, including the aim of a drug-free ASEAN, promoting co-operation between ASEAN members, participation in ASEAN conferences on drugs and the prevention of drug trafficking in border regions. The statement also scheduled the 16th ministerial conference on the issue will be held at the end of 2016 in Cambodia./.
