Vietnam calls for stronger ties in the region

 In addition, the 7th East Asian Summit and the ASEAN +3 Foreign Ministers Meeting were also convened. The meetings focused on reviewing collaborative projects and relationships between member nations. Moreover, high-ranking diplomats also exchanged ideas for future development, global issues concerning ASEAN's prosperity and the upcoming ASEAN Summit. The meetings were aimed at maintaining peace, security, order and safety in the East Sea. All members agreed that the disputes should be settled by peaceful means, with self-restraint and in accordance with international laws.
