The visit aimed at realising the commitments made during the visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan to Vietnam in January, while preparing for the high-level visit of State President Tran Dai Quang to Russia, and the Republic of Bashkortostan this June. The delegation included TH Group's Chairwoman and other big Vietnamese firms in Russia.
During the meeting with the Head of Bashkortostan, Rustem Khamitov, the two sides discussed specific partnership projects in agriculture, education, oil and gas, and tourism, which are expected to be signed in the upcoming visit of Vietnamese State President Tran Dai Quang to the Republic of Bashkortostan. The Russian statesman expressed his appreciation for TH Group's decision to invest in the dairy production in Bashkortostan.
The Head of Bashkortostan said that an additional 10 million tons of milk are in demand in Russia every year. Thus, the involvement of TH Group is expected to improve the dairy supply. TH Group's Chairwoman Thai Huong said that the company has decided to invest 220 million dollars in dairy farming and milk processing in Bashkortostan and will discuss further investment.
TH Group has had two dairy production projects in Russia's Moscow and Kaluga regions. The chairwoman also said that the group has visited Vladivostoc to seek investment opportunities in the Far East region of the Russian Federation, and that it has a lot of potential. Active businesses of TH Group and other leading Vietnamese firms in Russia are contributing to strengthening the comprehensive relationship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
The investment of TH Group is a good decision because this has received the support of the leaders of both Vietnam and the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Before the meeting, the delegation met with the Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan while visiting several key agricultural production sites./.
