Previously, as part of the activities to celebrate Vietnam and Australia's relationship, a friendship bridge was opened in Dong Thap by the Vietnamese and Australian governments.
Australia's grant of 160 million USD was its largest aid activity in Southeast Asia and one of its most significant investments in Vietnam. In January this year, the Vietnam - Australia friendship mural village was inaugurated in Tan Tich ward, Cao Lanh city, in Dong Thap province.
