Vietnam attends UN anti-corruption conference
VTV.vn - A Vietnamese delegation is attending the sixth conference of parties for the UN convention against corruption, held in Russia from Nov 3.

The meeting this year  focuses on the cooperation of countries and enterprises in the fight against corruption.

More than 1,000 delegates including lawmakers, government officials, and the media from more than 100 member nations  are in attendance.

Deputy Inspector General Le Thi Thuy, head of the Vietnamese delegation, said the results of Vietnam's implementation of the convention affirmed its efforts in the fight against corruption.

The UN convention against corruption, passed by the UN General Assembly, took effect in December 2005. Every two years, member nations convene to assess the effectiveness of its implementation, as well as discuss approaches to fight corruption more effectively.
