At the conference, Vietnam was highly lauded for its achievements in universal education in 2010 and universal preschools for 5-year olds in 2017. At international science contests, Vietnam is always one of the top 10 countries.
Minister of Education Phung Xuan Nha affirmed that Vietnam is making an effort to improve the quality of its education system, especially in remote areas. Vietnam hopes that the conference can be a platform for ASEAN countries to share experiences and to expand cooperation for a more prosperous ASEAN.
