Dozens of representatives from central agencies, political bodies, and Vietnamese businesses took part in the meeting. They were provided with the necessary information on how to adapt to the new law.
According to the Ministry of Public Security, the new cyber-security law, which was approved by the National Assembly last year, meets the government's requirements with regards to preventing illegal activities. The new law also safeguards cybersecurity in Governmental offices and in important national infrastructure.
To date, 138 nations around the world, including 95 developing countries, have tightened their cyber-security laws.
