Vietnam and Australia exchange field hospital experiences

VTV.vn - A conference on exchanging experiences on level-2 field hospitals between Vietnamese - Australian peacekeeping centres was held on Monday in Ho Chi Minh City.

The event is under the framework of the Australia-Vietnam Defence Co-operation Programme and part of Vietnam’s commitments to join the UN’s peacekeeping missions initiated in 2013.

At the meeting, participants exchanged their views and experiences on military medical expertise, operations of level-2 field hospitals including preparations, logistics, engineering, patient transport, medicine and medical equipment.

The event is part of efforts to improve the capacity of Vietnam’s peacekeeping forces and contribute mutual understanding, co-operation between Vietnam and Australia as well as peace, stability of the region and the world.
