VTV.vn - The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has said it will launch two new routes connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Bali, Indonesia, and Phuket, Thailand, from October 27.

Vietnam Airlines will operate seven flights a week between HCMC and Bali, although the frequency will be five flights a week until March 2020 due to limitations at Denpasar Airport.

Bali-bound flights depart from HCMC at 11h10 while HCMC-bound flights leave Bali at 16h50 every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

This is Vietnam Airlines’ second service between Vietnam and Indonesia following the Ho Chi Minh City-Jakarta route with seven flights a week since December 2012.

The national carrier will also operate the Ho Chi Minh City-Phuket route starting from October 27 with three flights a week, on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.

Flights bound for Phuket depart at 15h50 and the return flights leave Phuket at 18h40.

Service frequency is expected to be increased to seven flights a week from late March 2020.

In addition to two the new routes, Vietnam Airlines will resume daily service between Da Nang and Bangkok from October 27.
