Vietnam Airlines to launch in-flight wifi service

After four years of testing the service, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam and the Ministry of Public Security have given permission to the carrier to launch the service on four aircraft on October 10th.

Vietnam Airlines will offer many WiFi service packages with rates from 8 to 10 USD. Passengers can use a credit card or buy a card to use this service.

When connected to WiFi, passengers will be able to use messaging services, Viber, Facebook, and send e-mail from their devices while on the plane. However, access speed will depend on the number of users.

In the coming time, Vietnam Airlines will expand this service to both Boeing and A321 aircrafts.
