Vice President Xuan spoke highly of the achievements made by the brigade’s officers and soldiers over the years and their contributions to the country’s struggle for national independence as well as the cause of national construction and defence.
She called on the brigade’s officers and soldiers to accelerate scientific and technological advances in their operation in order to build a regular, elite and modern army.
It is also necessary to learn experience in natural disaster response and forecasting to help people improve their knowledge and skills regarding these issues, thus mitigating the consequences of storms and floods.
On the same day, Vice President Xuan offered flowers and incense at the memorial site for late President of the State Council Vo Chi Cong in Tam Xuan 1 Commune, Nui Thanh District, and a monument honouring Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in Tam Phu Commune, Tam Ky City.
She also saluted and presented a gift to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Ho Thi Ngo in An Xuan Ward, Tam Ky City.
