VAVA holds meeting to elect executive board

VTV.vn - The Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA) held a meeting this morning, inviting over 300 delegates from the 400,000 members of the association nationwide.

The meeting focused on reviewing the five-year implementation of the Resolution adopted for the period of 2013 - 2018. Delegates also reviewed fifteen years of VAVA's activities to point out shortcomings and put forward future directions.

The meeting elected the executive central committee for VAVA for the 2018 - 2023 term, which consists of 96 members. Senior Lieutenant General Nguyễn Văn Rinh continues to be the president. Since 2004, VAVA has been mobilising resources to care for the life of dioxin victims in Vietnam and to fight for justice on their behalf.
