Since the beginning of March, which is also known as Youth Month, all the Ho Chi Minh Communist youth unions at all levels in Bac Ninh Province launched the programme “Green Sunday”.
Accordingly, the province’s young people have planted over 40,500 trees worth total VND120 million; salvaged dirt to clear 6 kilometres of canals; collected, classified and handled over 12 tonnes of waste; removed over 3,000 billboards in contravention of regulations; distributed more than 4,000 propaganda leaflets on the prevention and control of Covid -19 disease; and granted over 5,000 free masks and 3,000 bottles of disinfectant hand sanitiser to people.
The young volunteers have also cleaned the premises of offices, hospitals, schools, dormitories, martyrs’ cemeteries and historical sites; repaired houses for policy beneficiaries; transplant over three acres of fields to support the rookies’ families’ and presented gifts to 30 students living in difficulties.
* The youth union of the Quang Tri provincial agencies and enterprises block has handed over a social house to Nguyen Thi Cuc’s family in Hien Thanh Commune, Vinh Linh District, for her relatives’ contributions to the country’s revolution.
* Also, in recent days, the youth associations in Bac Giang Province has carried out many specific activities, including the inauguration of a playground at the communal house in Lac Yen 2 Village, Hoang Van Commune, Hiep Hoa District.
The Luc Ngan District’s youth union has also mobilised its members to join in planting 2,000 acacia trees and 15 forest boundary markers in Na Hem Village, Ho Dap Commune; as well as to provide Tran Van Mung in Na Hem Village with capital support in growing Thanh Ha litchi.
* Various meaningful activities were held in Quang Ngai Province towards marking the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s founding anniversary, including the inauguration of a social house for Dinh Van Thang, a fifth grade student in Son Thanh Primary School in Son Ha District.
Binh Son District’s youth union has also completed an electric work in Tien Dao Village, Binh Trung Commune.
