In Italy, disease control measures that have been applied to the Lombardy region and areas affected by COVID-19 will be applied throughout the country, according to a decree signed by Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, since on Monday, 97 more deaths from COVID-19 were recorded and the total infected cases rose to 9,000.
Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte has put Italy under a dramatic total lockdown. A new government decree will require all people in Italy to demonstrate a need to work, health conditions, or other limited reasons to travel outside the areas where they live.
Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said this decision would protect the most vulnerable members of society. This decree will take effect from Tuesday, March 10th, until April 3rd.
