US to collect IASA information from Vietnam Airlines

The result of the programme is important for Vietnam to obtain the Category 1 (CAT 1) rating from the FAA, recognizing the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV) as having the capacity to ensure the safety standards of Vietnamese airlines, so Vietnam can launch the first direct route between Vietnam and the US.

According to a representative of Vietnam Airlines, the firm met the standards of aircraft model, personnel, and resources to open such a route.
